Were Your Rights Violated?
That your rights are protected is something that most people take for granted
. Everyone operates under the assumption that the law is
equitable and fair and that everyone gets treated the same and with the
same due process. This is definitely not always the case. The road to
trial is a long one for every policeman and prosecutor. Almost always,
there is never an intent on the part of either the police or the
prosecution to deny a suspect their rights. Of course, sometimes the
Hollywood-esque monster of dirty cops planting evidence actually
happens, but it is extremely, extremely rare. What is more likely to
happen is that your rights have been violated by something being
overlooked.
It is important to have a defense attorney who will go over every piece
of evidence and challenge, it\'s veracity and legitimacy. Over the course
of an investigation, there may have been an illegal seizure of evidence,
you may have been denied counsel or you may have even been denied a
speedy trial. Whatever you have been charged with, it is important to
have an attorney that understands the legal process and will fight to
ensure that all of your rights have been respected. If you live in
Burlington, Essex, Colchester, Winooski, Williston, Shelburne or
anywhere in the State of Vermont, and have been arrested or charged with
DUI or any crime, call Handy Law for aggressive and experienced legal
defense.
