Proposed Oklahoma Law Is Serious Deterrent
So you made a huge mistake and you got yourself a DUI. You tell yourself that you can get your life back together, move forward and never make the same mistake twice - and you are kind of forced to. You can't buy alcohol ever again in the state you were convicted in. Oklahoma is considering a law that if you are convicted of DUI your license will be issued as "Alcohol Restricted," meaning that you will never be able to purchase alcohol in the State of Oklahoma. Clearly, if you enjoy your wine or scotch, this is a further incentive to not drink and drive. Our society is becoming less and less tolerant of those that choose to drink and drive. Don't do it. The costs are ever increasing and it looks like they will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
