If You Are Pulled Over On Suspicion Of DUI - Don't Blow It!
First of all, never drink and drive! It is against the law, and for good reason. However, being pulled over on suspicion of DUI is every social drinker's worst nightmare. You've had a few, maybe a few too many but you weren't disciplined this night and you really aren't sure. Then it happens. Your tail light goes out. You are unaware it has gone out. It is 1:30 am Saturday morning and you are headed home after a dinner party at a friend's house. Suddenly, blue lights start flashing behind you. You pull to the side assuming the officer is going to pass you, but he does not. He pulls you over. He gets to the driver's window of your car and believes he smells an odor of alcohol on your breath. This is perhaps the most critical moment for building your defense. Contrary to misinformation which patrolling officers may give you, you DO NOT have to take the preliminary breath test. No matter what the officer may threaten, unless you are absolutely, 100% certain that you are not legally intoxicated, decline the test. Whether you are arrested or not as a result of your refusal to submit to the preliminary breath test, call Handy Law for a free consultation to discuss your options. DUI is a serious charge and one that should be met with serious defense. We have the experience you need, and the knowledge of law you require to face these charges fairly in court. Let us represent you aggressively and defend you vigorously.
