Even If Your Work Is Involved, Never Drink And Drive
The New Year did not get off to a great start for Juan Pablo Garcia of Los Angeles. He was an Uber driver. Uber drivers are never required to respond to calls for pick ups. However, at 1 am New Years' Day, Juan Pablo responded to the request of 19 year old Arlene Mendez for a lift. She was terrified as the intoxicated Juan Pablo sped at 80 miles per hour down city streets.
Despite her pleas for Juan Pablo to slow down, he did not. The result? Juan Pablo crashed and overturned his car by rear ending another vehicle. Fortunately, Arlene was not seriously injured.
Clearly, Juan Pablo will no longer be an Uber driver and he faces potential jail time and thousands of dollars in fees and fines if convicted. Remember, even if your livelihood involves driving, never drive if you are under the influence of any substance. If you have been charged with or arrested for DUI, you need an attorney who will aggressively fight for your defense.
If you live in Burlington, Essex, Colchester, Winooski, Williston, Shelburne or anywhere in the State of Vermont, and have been arrested or charged with DUI or any crime, call The Law Office of C Jordan Handy for aggressive and experienced legal defense.
