Be Careful of Minor Driving Infractions
I thought I would take a moment to let my readers be aware of something that can be as devastating to their right to drive as a DUI conviction - failure to pay traffic tickets.
With everything being shared between states, insurance companies and even nations, if you commit a traffic violation anywhere in the world, it will most likely be reflected in your insurance premiums and can result in the suspension of your license if unpaid. This can be particularly dangerous if you have moved and a suspension notice has been sent to a previous address and the forwarding period has expired.
Driving on a suspended license is a crime in most states and can be punished by fines, further loss of driving privileges and even jail time.
