Police Departments Looking For A Way To Determine A Legal Limit For Marijuana

With the newly accepted legality of marijuana in many jurisdictions,
police officers have been searching for a way to measure if a person is
technically "under the influence" of THC, the active component in marijuana.

The problem is that, unlike with alcohol, there is no "one size fits all
" answer. In fact, since THC leaves the body MUCH slower than alcohol
does it is currently very difficult to determine when any detected THC
was consumed and if it is having any effect.

On the other hand, there are several in the medical community have the
view that for many people, the use of marijuana may not have any effects
of impairment on them. Nobody wants to punish someone for a crime they
didn't commit.

We will have to wait and see how this develops. and what tests and
levels may be determined when it comes to THC intoxication. If you live
in Burlington, Essex, Colchester, Winooski, Williston, Shelburne or
anywhere in the State of Vermont, and have been arrested or charged with
DUI or any crime, call Handy Law for aggressive and experienced legal
