Florida Offers Community Control Sentence In Place Of Incarceration For Some Felony Convictions

Florida is offering a program to some of those convicted of felonies.
The program allows the offender to stay at home and work under very
controlled circumstances instead of being incarcerated in a jail or
prison. If you are offered this program you have to provide a schedule
of your upcoming week and also provide an hour-by-hour recap of your
previous week's activities. Also, travel is limited to 1/2 hour before
your work begins and 1/2 hour after your work ends.

The only other times you can leave your house on the program is for
pre-approved shopping trips, going to church and getting a haircut. In
the case of church you have to bring the church's bulletin for the week
as proof as well as a receipt should you get a haircut. Visits to family
members are never allowed but doctor and dentist visits are with signed
notes.

This may seem very strict, but it is better to have citizens be useful
to society and learn how to live a productive life for when full
freedoms are restored. If you have been arrested or charged with a
crime, it is important to get an experienced attorney to fight for your
rights and question all evidence against you. If you live in Burlington,
Essex, Colchester, Winooski, Williston, Shelburne or anywhere in the
State of Vermont, and have been arrested or charged with DUI or any
crime, call Handy Law for aggressive and experienced legal defense.
