The Pandemic And Domestic Violence

Everybody knows and has experienced what a difficult time we are living through. We have all been cooped up in our homes with our loved ones now for several months. However, whereas many people are finding a "silver lining" in this time together by falling in love again with their partners, there are many for whom this is not the case at all.

When people are in such close quarters for extended periods of time,
it's very possible that long-term, unresolved issues can come to the fore, and sometimes with devastating effect. There may be abuse issues in a relationship that have been long-standing, and they may escalate.
Verbal abuse may turn physical and physical abuse may become worse.

It is times like these where you need to take care of yourself and protect yourself. Abuse can be present on many levels and in many forms. If you are the victim of abuse, make sure you let the authorities know,
use codes with friends or text if you need to. Make sure you get the help you are entitled to and the protection you need.

If you have been accused of domestic violence and if you live in
Burlington, Essex, Colchester, Winooski, Williston, Shelburne or
anywhere in the state of Vermont, and have been arrested or charged with
DUI or any crime, call Handy Law for aggressive and experienced legal
defense.
