The New York Police Department is not happy with Google. Google has an app
on its platform called Waze. It is meant to make drivers aware of
the quickest route to a destination factoring in traffic, accidents,
and, yes, even DUI checkpoints.
Users can share the location of DUI checkpoints, which get posted and
displayed instantly. The State of New York wants to arrest those posting
the checkpoint locations and charge them with a crime. The NYPD claim
that such sharing of information encourages reckless driving and
interferes with the administration of DWI laws.
Is this something the government should be able to control? What information

tuned! The NYPD has sent a letter to Google asking them to voluntarily
