Falling Asleep At The Wheel And DUI

Earlier this month there was a very curious case of a driver falling asleep at the wheel, and it was related to his being intoxicated. The event took place in New Jersey where a 20-year-old driver was woken up by an officer after a motorist called police notifying them that an individual appeared to be asleep at the wheel - at a traffic light!

An officer responded to the call and indeed found a young man asleep at the wheel with his foot on the brake. After engaging the driver in conversation the officer determined that he was showing signs of intoxication. The driver then proceeded to fail a field sobriety test and was charged with DUI.

Being underage and charged with DUI can have far-reaching consequences and you need an experienced attorney to help protect your rights and put up a strong defense.
