Witnesses and DUI

Not everybody sees the same thing the same way. Some of us are color blind. Some of us interpret the actions of another differently. The same is especially true when it comes to trying any case in a court of law - including DUI. In essence, that is what the arresting officer is in a DUI case - the State's star witness. They will be called on to testify as to what you were doing, how you were acting and what they believed the results of your field tests were. If you have others in the car with you, they will have their own version of what happened - and so will you. Have you ever played Telephone? The game where you tell one person a story and then they tell another, etc., until it gets back to you? The story is usually quite different by the time it gets back to you. If you have been arrested or charged with DUI for any substance and you live in Essex, Burlington, South Burlington, Winooski, Colchester, Williston or anywhere in the State of Vermont, call the Law Office of C Jordan Handy to discuss your case, and let us know about your witnesses, it can take some time to sort things out.
