What Is Cyberbullying?

Many of us have kids in high school and those of us that do are too old
to have experienced a phenomenon known as cyberbullying ourselves in
high school. So, what exactly is cyberbullying? I suppose the good news
is that it normally does not involve physical threats, so if your
children are victims of cyberbullying there is little danger of them
actually being physically harmed. However, the emotional toll of
cyberbullying can drive many teens to thoughts of suicide or escape in
the form of drug and/or alcohol use.

Cyberbullying is defined by stopbullying.gov as "...primarily verbal
aggression (e.g., threatening or harassing electronic communications)
and relational aggression (e.g., spreading rumors electronically)." The
site goes on to state that it can also involve damage to property
through electronic attacks on devices and/or stored information about an
individual.

If your child has been the victim of cyberbullying, call us. We have the
experience and knowledge to stop the perpetrator immediately and bring
them to justice. If you live in Burlington, Essex, Colchester, Winooski,
Williston, Shelburne or anywhere in the state of Vermont, and have been
