New, Lower BAC Limit Coming?

It's official, the National Transportation Safety Board recently recommended lowering the legal BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) limit from .08 to .05. This would virtually mean that you cannot have a single drop of drink and drive, and that instruments would be needed to measure in the hundredths to distinguish those who are .049 from those who are .05. What does this tell us, in general? The idea behind the NTSBs recommendation to lower the legal drinking BAC limit is that, currently, a .08 limit means that it is still OK to drink a little and drive, which could be read as it is OK to drink and drive. Perhaps, the best route would be to make a 0.00 legal limit to drive, since .05 is virtually enforcing that. Of course, our recommendation is that if you have had any drink and have any question as to whether or not to drive, please don't. Ask a friend for a ride, call a cab or walk. Do what it takes to ensure your safety, the safety of others and respecting the law. If you live in Burlington, Essex, Colchester, Winooski, Williston, Shelburne or anywhere in the State of Vermont, and have been arrested or charged with DUI or any crime, call The Law Office of C Jordan Handy for aggressive and experienced legal defense.
