Even Without Sobriety Tests, Juries Are Increasingly Likely To Convict

There was a case in California recently where a driver was charged with DUI, apparently operating under the influence of Meth. The perpetrator was so vocal and unruly (shouting after the incident, which left a cyclist paralyzed) that she was immediately taken into custody and no sobriety tests were conducted. At the hospital, a bag of Meth was discovered on her person. She claimed at trial that the she did not have enough Meth in her system to impair her and that the road she drove the wrong way down (it was a one way road) was not clearly marked. The jury didn't buy it and convicted her on all counts against her. Society is becoming more and more intolerant of DUIs. This means that, more than ever, you need a strong defense if you are facing these charges. We have the experience and knowledge you need to defend your rights in a court of law. If you live in Burlington, Essex, Colchester, Winooski, Williston, Shelburne or anywhere in the State of Vermont, and have been arrested or charged with DUI or any crime, call The Law Office of C Jordan Handy for aggressive and experienced legal defense.
